Lifeguard beach flags for the Catalan coast
This panel shows the flag raised by the lifeguard at each beach it covers,
alongside sea state, water clarity, jellyfish sightings, water temperature
and the day's forecast. It spans six areas:
Garraf (Sitges, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Cubelles),
El Camp (Tarragona, Salou, Cambrils and neighbours),
Barcelona,
Baix Llobregat (Castelldefels, Gavà, Viladecans, el Prat),
Baix Penedès (Calafell, el Vendrell, Cunit) and
Terres de l'Ebre (l'Ametlla de Mar, Alcanar and neighbours).
Data comes from the Generalitat de Catalunya's open-data feed and is
refreshed every ten minutes. Flags are only published while the lifeguard
service operates, roughly June to September; outside that season the panel
correctly shows no service.
